gesine kratzner’s polymer critters and creatures

German born Gesine Kratzner has been an animation professional for almost two decades. Now living in Oregon, Kratzner often uses polymer clay and epoxy clay to bring life to her characters. I am particularly fond of the little creatures that live on rocks. . .love the expressions!

Here’s a short video about the artist – you get to watch her at work making one of her creatures in polymer clay and a larger sculpture in paper mache!

More images on her blog – make sure to look at the wall installations to get an idea of the scale of some of Kratzner’s creations.

Wow, this tickles by creativity muse :)

  2. I love these characters, and I really loved the vid about her. Especially when she describes her characters as “slightly deranged”. And it’s awesome that her characters become animations, as well! What a well-rounded individual :-)
