high5 glass: final thoughts

I hope you enjoyed this week’s exploration of contemporary glass art. While doing the research for High5 Glass I gathered a list of close to 100 artists on the glass art scene today.  However I could only choose  a few for the week’s posts – a near impossible task.

I approached the task of choosing this weeks featured artists the way I often approach my blog posts – something resonated with me about the work of each featured artist this week.  The work aligned with my mood, my thoughts, my own artistic focus, or perhaps an internal question or challenge I was facing at the time I sat down to write the post. So what does that mean? That I only skimmed the surface of what is being done in the world of contemporary glass art and there are many more artists to show you in the weeks and months to come.

I’ll see you Monday when I get back to sharing my usual eclectic mix as I celebrate handcrafted excellence on the Daily Art Muse. Next up for the High5 series? Polymer Clay – More details coming soon.

BRAVO!!! I really enjoyed this week’s series. I mean, I rely on you to pull out the best and show me all the time — and I’m never disappointed. But this week, boy, those research skills are unmatched! I don’t know where I would be without all the inspiration you serve up. Thanks always, Emma
